Vintage Jackpot

The hubby and I hit the jackpot last night! The nicest, sweetest elderly couple in Mesa were getting rid of a house full of furniture.  All in immaculate condition and prime for painting!  We couldn't fit all of it in our car so they offered to put a few things in theirs and they followed us home.  How nice is that? We brought all of these...

 I painted these today and can't wait to show you tomorrow :)

{Please don't judge the nastiness that is my garage.  We sure could use a separate housing area just for the kids' stuff.  3 bikes, 2 big wheels, 2 trikes, 3 scooters, 1 plazma car and 1 police vehicle take up a lot space!}

  7. Hi Natalie! Great finds! I bought a pair of end tables similar to the white ones above. They have that hard white veneer top that seems like its almost plastic. I've been procrastinating on finishing them because of that. What do you think you might do with the tops? Leave them alone? I'm a bit stumped :)

  9. Rachel, it's formica top - scratch it up with sand paper the best you can and then roll or spray on an oil based primer {Kiltz or Zinnser} - it has a higher adhesion than water based primer. That should do the trick. Good luck!

  10. Okay...I want the dresser. And maybe the bed...what size is it? Plus I might need the nighstands too. I need to move Liv into a big girl bed & so she is leaving behind the baby set. I'll try & stop by today.
