A big THANK YOU to Allison for the information on what I was referring to as the "faux bamboo" dresser. Apparently it's from Henry Link's Bali Hai line circa 1972.
I can't believe my luck in finding your blog. We inherited the same dresser from my in laws some time ago. I have been trying to figure out how to give it a much needed facelift! Thank you so much for this post!!!!!
So beautiful! I had been coveting a Bali Hai dresser for ages, and finally scored one on Craig's List. Unfortunately we live too far away for you to work your magic... any tips on prepping the piece to paint, since it's laminate? And did you use oil-based paint on this one?
If it is wrong to love a dresser, I don't want to be right.
ReplyDeleteHa! Love it, Erika!
