Peacock Blue

My dad let me borrow his camera and portrait lens to take these photos.  Man oh man does his camera blow mine out of the water!  Maybe he doesn't need it back too soon...??

A three step process helped to give this plain dresser a little depth and variation.  After lightly sanding it, I gave it a coat of white stain.  Then came the Peacock blue paint, and after distressing it, I applied a tinted wax.  I love the oversized wood knobs!  For more details, check it out in the shop.

Here it is before, but after I white washed the top drawer and after.

  7. It looks very nice, I plan to redo a nightstand for my guest room on a similar blue, since it doesn't match any other furniture in there. Hoping it comes out this beautifully. Fingers crossed!

Ooh la la. Love that blue beauty. White is wonderful and safe but go bold or go home is my mantra.
