Changes

This week Zac started his MBA program at ASU.  We've been wanting to move on with this next step in his schooling for quite some time but haven't felt like we had enough emotional strength left over after taking care of the necessities of life to do so…until now.

Two years ago when we had our fourth child, our oldest was not yet five - that's four kids, 4 and under!  It took us a solid year and half to adjust to life as parents to four youngin's.  Three was doable for us, so it was surprising when four was so difficult.  However, now that our baby is two and in full-fledged, daily tantrum throwing mode things have actually become more manageable and now seemed as good a time as any for us to grit our teeth and get through two more years of school.

It's been exciting to watch Zac and I grow and mature, and our ability to handle the rigors of life expand.  Of course there's plenty of room for us to continue to grow, but that's what makes us excited to see where we'll be next year and the year after that.  Having Zac in school in addition to everything else that's going on now is going to be difficult, there's no doubt about it.  But I'm hoping that we'll be able to handle this next step in our lives gracefully and learn a few things along the way, then become better versions of ourselves in the end.

  1. What a sweet picture! Okay so four kiddos under four at one point, wow there is no way I could do it! If you guys can handle that...these next two years should seem like a breeze! Ha! I'm sure it will be challenging but you two are obviously strong enough to take it on! Good Luck!

  2. No one tells ya how hard it is to be a grown up, do they? The four kids alone, without outside influences, is work enough for ANYONE! You handling your brood makes me less nervous for our third addition. We're never dealt more than we can handle. Good luck!

  4. Is Zack doing the part time program or full time? My husband got accepted to the part time program, but wanted to only do full time so he declined it and will apply again next year to hopefully get into the full time program. You two definately have your hands full, but your such a great team and these next couple of years will probably go by so fast!

  6. i'm sure it is going to be very difficult, but also exciting to see what opportunities will open up with the education he is receiving. it is such a blessing that he CAN go. i know its not easy and you have to make a big sacrifice, but there are so many people i know in haiti who are trying so hard to get here to the us or any place where they can further their studies and have a chance for a good life out of poverty and it is just nearly impossible for them. so...anyway...i wish you all the best and am excited for this next step.
