A Colorful Beach House

Happy Monday, friends!  I don't know about you, but the weekend flew by way too quickly for me…now back to work!

I finally found a quite moment over the weekend to look through the latest issue of House Beautiful.  This beach house designed by Mona Ross Berman really caught my eye - I love all the color!

What do you think?  Do you find yourself gravitating more to neutral or color?

I'm a neutral girl, definitely! Decorative pillows, throws, pottery, area rugs, & curtain panels are my favorite way to get color. And since I inevitably like to change things up - having that neutral backdrop allows you to change the colors of your accessories whenever you want!

  2. This beach house it bright and beautiful. I said many many years ago I would never paint my walls white but lately I seem to be drawn to pictures with them. As long as their is plenty of color and texture adding interest.

  3. I'm with Gracious Spaces. I love to use color in my accent pieces but keep the walls neutral. I love to change my stuff out too. Love the pink sherbet and the icey blue. Not so much an orange fan. P.S. I need to paint my kiddos headboard and footboard black. It's a stained wood with a lot of cherry in it. Any tips?

  6. I have never been able to design myself a neutral house. I crave color, and I could maybe, possibly be happy in a home with neutral walls but lots of color everywhere else...but a designer would have to come in and set it all up for me, because whenever I am left to my own devices, there is a color EXPLOSION everywhere!

  7. Just want you to know I think you are delightful! I really look forward to getting your posts :) I am definitely a neutral girl, but I love seeing your pops of color and am almost ready to do a high gloss colorful piece since getting your blog! Love, love, love your authenticity. Thanks for being yourself.

  9. What a beautiful, colorful space! I love how they've set everything against the clean, white background. And I love that white table in the last photo that is yellow underneath/inside! Very cool! Thanks for sharing this lovely inspiration!
