Today my favorite little preschooler turned four! Isabelle and I spent Charlotte's nap time (which she calls our "special alone time") making cupcakes for her party tomorrow.
This little munchkin wanted strawberry cupcakes. We added a box of vanilla pudding to make a standard cake mix extra delicious and moist.
My favorite frosting method is to cut the tip of a piping bag and to avoid frosting tips altogether - it's super fast.
We ate ourselves sick on batter and cream cheese frosting. 9 times out of 10 I'd pick batter/dough over the actual baked good. Cookie dough, brownies, cake batter - it makes no difference. I know, I know… raw eggs.
I'm curious - do you prefer to eat yourself sick on cupcake batter or are you patient enough to wait the 18 minutes until they're baked? Or maybe you're more sensible and don't eat yourself sick…?
Batter, for sure!
ReplyDeletesuper cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, it depends.. saying that, i ALWAYS taste the batter and always taste the baked goods.. yikes, that a double bad :)
Licking the bowl of batter for cookies, cakes and frosting is definitely the best!
ReplyDeleteI'd take cookie dough over cookies any day. And yes, I eat way too much when given the chance!
ReplyDeleteWe always have less cookies cake and cupcakes...we don't just lick the bowl we eat as much as we want and then bake the rest. Love the cupcakes adn Belle looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteSuper adorable! Hope Isabelle has a fabulous bday! I can definitely lick myself sick on frosting, or cookie dough, but I'd rather wait for the baked cupcakes!
ReplyDeleteBatter, all the way :-) Happy birthday to your little sweetheart! She's adorable, and her cupcakes look so tasty!
ReplyDeletei sure hope there are more cupcakes than that.
ReplyDeleteJust read this little snippet on eating the raw stuff.

I say go for it.
i only like dough. i could eat the entire kitchenaid bowl full of cookie dough or brownie batter. cake batter is better as cake, though. but only with lots of frosting.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter! She is a cutie! Those cupcakes look yummy...I do a bit of both. Love sampling the batter and wait for the cake.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so refreshing, love it! Not only do you create beautiful pieces, but I love the way you write and your pictures are turning out fabulous. So impressed with you!! :)
ReplyDeleteI eat any kind of batter by the spoonful. Why is it soooo delicious? Also, I freeze small balls of cookie dough - which never seem to get baked, only eaten.
ReplyDeleteRight there with you - the batter is the best part!
ReplyDeleteBy the time any cookies are baked around here, I'm over them because I've had so much dough. When I make my favorite oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, I even save some dough aside to snack on later. I like that my husband won't go near dough because of the raw eggs, because that means more for me!
