Today marks 3 months of furniture refinishing as a business and the blog! I can't tell you how shocked/pleasantly surprised I am at the response I've gotten from you. I thought it would be a long time before it wasn't just my mom and sisters who were reading. Thank you for the support! I will admit that it hasn't been easy. It was initially an incredibly difficult decision for me to go from "mom" to "working mom", but I've loved it. It's been liberating and chaotic at the same time. These are economically hard times for a lot of us and it feels great to help out.
I repeatedly have people ask me how I'm doing it - how I'm finding the time to do it with four little ones. My answer...I've learned to accept a little more chaos {and my parents and little sister are very involved}. I do my best to make the most of Charlotte's nap time and the time after the kids are in bed - but that doesn't always cut it. We have a "no tv/video games" rule Sunday thru Thursday before and after school
{if Zac is traveling for the week we make lots of exceptions} - so the kids have to fend for themselves inside {which they do quite well} or they're out in the front with me. They listen to music in the garage, play school on the front patio, make potions, hold "car" washes, ride their bikes and play with my air tools. This is what my chaos looks like - and that does includes Charlotte drinking from the drip system.
