An Early Morning Excursion

Early, early this morning, my mom swung by the house to pick me up for a little secondhand furniture shopping across town.  A big thanks to Zac for getting the kids ready and to school and thanks little brother for watching the girls :)  My mom found a few cute kids chairs and I found all this....

I cannot wait to get this faux bamboo bedroom set painted!  It's going to be fabulous!!!  The hardest part is deciding if I'm going to go bold with my paint choice, or play it safe.

The dresser mirror, which would also be great on it's own.

Loved these faux bambo frames.   I actually also really like the prints, but they desperately need new mattes.

These foot boards came home with me for me!  Isabelle currently has a daybed with a trundle.  The plan is to move Charlotte to the trundle when she's out of her crib - but lets be real - trundles are the pits when they're used on a daily basis.  For guests, they're great, but that's it.  I came across these matching, twin, french provincial beds and knew they would make a great replacement for the daybed.  {I didn't have room in the car for the headboards - gotta go back}.

Last, but not least, this beautiful hutch.  My favorite part is the size.  Definitely not overbearing.   Zac has already removed the glass for painting and I like it so much with the open shelving that I'm not sure I'm going to have him put them back in when I'm finished.

Thanks for checking out my loot!

  5. What great finds! I think you should definitly go bold with the bamboo furniture. It seems like that style always looks great with a fun color, maybe kelly green? :) I always tend to play it safe though....

  8. Wow, you did great! I agree with the others about going bold on the bamboo set - but, just like you, I tend to play it safe so I understand your hesitation! I'm sure you'll make them look fantastic regardless.

Exciting about the beds for your girls! It's always nice to come home with something for your own house.
