A French Dresser

I just finished painting this dresser for quilter extraordinaire, Stephanie.  It's going in her entryway and I hope it looks fantastic in her space!  Every time I have to take sandpaper to a newly finished project, I cringe.  It's so hard to rough up something I just spent so much time trying to get as smooth and perfect as possible.  Fortunately, she only wanted a minimal amount :)  I think it turned out perfect.

Here's the craigslist listing photo of it before.

Yesterday I finally got around to painting the little girls' twin beds.  Zac's been out-of-town all week, but he'll be back tomorrow {phew!} and I already have him committed to taking down the old bed and setting up the new Saturday afternoon.  Can't wait!

Also, if you're like me, and a sucker for the French Provincial style, I Heart Mesa has a dresser very similar to the one above listed in their weekly Craigslist Collection.  And for only $80 bucks too!

Last thing...I would love to turn my Furniture Share page into a photo gallery {with 3 photos across}.  Anybody know how to do that???

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading :)

  3. I love this soooo much! I painted mine teal. THinking of changing it to white. But since I already have a white dresser, not sure if that's a good idea!

  4. Oh Natalie, you're breaking my heart with this one! I found an almost identical dresser a few weeks ago for $25 at the thrift store and my husband talked me out of it . . . and look what I could have done with it! AAAH! Shopper's regret :-( It looks fantastic!

  6. Lucky me! I love this dresser and can't wait to start accessorizing. A little bling never hurts! I've got my son-in-law, Chris, pondering on how to hang that mirror. He'll figure it out. Thanks again, Natalie. It's perfect!

  11. Your dresser redo is beautiful. I just bought an ugly (in need of some major TLC) dresser at Goodwill over the weekend. I found your link on Funky Junk and this is exactly what I want to do with mine! Thanks for the inspiration!
