My mom took the two younger girls for the day so I could be "extra" productive. But since my goal for the week is to focus on more quality time with the kids, I peeled myself from the computer to take the older two on a surprise lunch date. I love the look on their faces as they see me waiting by the office and it dawns on them what's going on…Happy Meals!
These two are twelve months and two days apart and are the best of friends. In fact, Colby brought home an "about me" book he'd written the other day that said his favorite thing to do is play with Madeline. Nope, not the Wii, his sister. She is the overly dramatic and bossy one and he's the pleaser. Hmmm…sounds like their parents.
I thought I'd share a photo of these two as babies, but then I got all nostalgic going through our old photos and decided to share a few more.
We laugh at this photo because it looks like they're singing to each other.
Just out of the bath.
At the zoo.
I did the math, and it's very likely that they've taken over a thousand baths together.
Playing at the beach.
And now they look like this. Oh, how time flies.
ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful kids! And how sweet that they are such good friends--you must be so proud of them!
ReplyDeleteback when colby actually had chubs...
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with these pics. They have an uncommon connection that I hope stays with them. I also hope that I can give my little boy a sibling with whom he will share his childhood. Cheers. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I am totally in love with that picture of the two of them at the piano! They look like the last two bar patrons, having a grand time reliving the good old days, tickling the ivories!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! They both look a lot like you but Colby especially...
ReplyDeleteOh my, what darling kiddos you have!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Time does fly by way too quickly... your children are beautiful, and it's so nice that they're the best of friends :-)
ReplyDeleteAwww, so sweet. Especially the one at the piano. We're so lucky to have photographs for those distant memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I read all your comments to Madeline and Colby and they loved them!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness... aren't they just precious! I remember my mom coming and grabbing me from school for surprise lunches, how wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteThose shots of your kids are STUNNING!!! They look like the best of friends. And they'll probably be close their entire lives, even more so than sisters perhaps (as they won't have to flight over clothes or friends or BOYS). I shared a dorm room with my twin sister one year, and we had a crush on the same guy. NOT the world's most enjoyable experience, to be SURE!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your blog.
You got these kids from some cathalogue didn't you!?? ;)) they are Gorgeous!! Will you check out my blogue, please. I wrote about you today and hope it's okay with you. Sorry I didn't have time to ask you before.
